About this kitchen
A simply designed, light and airy kitchen with soothing symmetry in an extension in a house in East Horsley. Our client really liked fluted wood and ideally wanted it incorporated somewhere in the design, so we sourced these oak veneered panels. She also loved brass knurled cupboard handles and the gold Quooker tap. The insides of the cupboards and drawers were to be light in colour rather than an oak finish, so we chose a matching interior. At our stone fabricator she viewed some full size quartz slabs and settled on this one where rust colour in the streaks picks up the oak wood colour beautifully. The thickened up island worktop gives an opulent feel, as does the visually warm brass hardware and reeded bar stools.
Drinks and snack station away from the main prep area.
Walk-in pantry, utility and boot room to match were finished off by the amazing joiner, Brett Freeman, who completed these rooms with hand-painted tongue and groove panelling and shelves.
